Original Berber carpet, hand-knotted around 1981 in the style of Beni Ourain from Morocco.
In Amazigh, the classic diamond pattern with diagonal lines stands for security, protection and connection. Fine color signs in red, green and blue mark spiritual waypoints — heart, nature, sky. Élan Vital is not a decor, but an energy center.
Elan Vital changes the frequency of space. It brings warmth, light reflection and, thanks to its powerful geometry, structure and peace at the same time. In minimalistic interiors, it becomes the center. It grounds in detailed environments. He is not loud — but he is present. You can feel it. It is particularly effective in light-flooded rooms, next to wood, concrete or natural stone. Even in a bedroom, it develops its calming, almost protective aura.
We deliver worldwide — free of charge. Each rug is safely shipped and insured from our warehouse in Austria. Depending on the region, the delivery time is approx. 2 to 10 working days. Customs duties may apply outside the EU and are to be borne by the recipient.
Élan Vital is more than a rug — it is a woven prayer.
In Amazigh symbolism, the continuous diamond pattern stands for femininity, protection and opening inner paths. Red, green and blue threads appear randomly in between — but each of them carries a message:
- Red for heart & vitality
- Green for fertility & nature
- Blue for Protection & Connection to the Sky
They are linked like spiritual milestones — visible only to those who look with their hearts.
Even on the back, Élan Vital leaves signs: incorporated numbers and the year 1981. In numerology, it corresponds to the life number 1 — a symbol of origin, creative creativity and a new beginning.
Elan Vital Accompanies people who are looking for transformation — and spaces that are more than just a backdrop.
Élan Vital was knotted in 1981 by the Beni Ourain in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains — traditionally handcrafted on a vertical loom. The natural, hand-spun virgin wool comes from the region and ensures a soft, heavy but easy-to-lay quality. In Amazigh Symbolism, the Classic Diamond Pattern Stands for Security and the Opening of Inner Paths. Red, green and blue threads — as if set by chance — tell of heart, nature and protection. The Back also Bears Numbers: In Numerology, the Number 1981 Results in the Life Number 1 — a Symbol of Origin and Creative New Beginning.
Nomades7 is more than a brand — it is a curated collection of individual textile pieces with origin, attitude and soul. Each rug is made entirely by hand by Berber women in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. Alexander Heritsch selects these pieces locally — not based on their appearance, but on the basis of energy, symbolism and history. We believe that spaces need more than beautiful things — they need meaning. That's why we don't sell mass-produced goods, but woven time. Each piece is unique that not only lies — but also works.
And that a hand-knotted rug doesn't just lie — it stays.
