Contemporary Berber carpet, hand-knotted around 1960 in the style of Beni M'Guild from Morocco.
The preserved sling technique gives this piece a tangible depth — each loop is like a circle of connection, return and inner collection. Instead of clear geometry, patterns are created from balance, softness and intuition. A rug that doesn't speak loudly — but reverberates for a long time.
Material: 100% natural virgin wool
Technique: Hand knotted on a traditional loom using original sling technique
structure: Loops with a dense, three-dimensional texture — soft and flowing
Measurements: 260 x 190 cm
weight: 8.9 kg
Age & condition:
This piece is most likely from the late 1950s to early 60s. The woven structure, chain structure and the patina of the wool prove its origin. The preservation of the slings indicates that they were only used decoratively — presumably in a ceremonial or reception room. The overall condition is exceptionally good: hardly any signs of use, no relevant damage. A rare, museum-quality find.
”Looped Legacy“is particularly effective in rooms that want to combine lightness with depth. Thanks to its rare sling technique, it softly reflects light and creates an almost ethereal atmosphere. In minimalist interiors, it looks like a work of art — calm but present. In Japandi or Boho contexts, it becomes the centring heart. Ideal for spaces that not only want to be designed but felt — whether living areas, meditation rooms or studios for creative processes.
We deliver worldwide — free of charge. Each rug is shipped safely and insured from our warehouse in Austria. Depending on the region, the delivery time is approx. 2 to 10 working days. Customs duties may apply outside the EU and are to be borne by the recipient.
“Looped Legacy” is more than just a rug — it is a woven symbol of spiritual balance. The loops obtained represent infinity, the uninterrupted, an eternal cycle. The clear sequence of diamonds — a symbol of the mother goddess's gaze in Berbers — brings protection, order and a sense of inner balance. Repeating them creates the life number 6: a sign of harmony, solidarity and attention to detail. This rug acts like a resonance field — it grounds, soothes and opens up space for depth and awareness.
“Looped Legacy” was made in the 1960s in the Beni M'Guild style on a traditional loom — hand-knotted in pure wool, but with a special feature: A special feature of this piece is the formation of the pile using the loop technique, which means that the carpet is not as high-pile as with open pile threads. The result is a rare, almost sculptural texture with fascinating three-dimensionality. The closed loops softly reflect light and create a feeling of depth and peace. The wool comes from the highlands, is soft, shiny and of a natural cream color — interspersed with clear diamond lines. Each loop tells of connection and continuity — a rug like a silent statement.
Nomades7 is more than a brand — it is a curated collection of individual textile pieces with origin, attitude and soul. Each rug is made entirely by hand by Berber women in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. Alexander Heritsch selects these pieces locally — not based on their appearance, but on the basis of energy, symbolism and history. We believe that spaces need more than beautiful things — they need meaning. That's why we don't sell mass-produced goods, but woven time. Each piece is unique that not only lies — but also works.
And that a hand-knotted rug doesn't just lie — it stays.
